Thank you to all the fabulous fundraisers who have supported Pennine Care Charity so far. Here are highlights from recent events and projects you've helped to fund.

Memory moments

A man feeding an alpaca.jpgYour generous donations helped Rochdale memory assessment service fund nature and wellbeing activities for patients.

Their walking group, led by patient volunteer Cliff, enjoyed a day trip to Calderbrook Alpacas, made possible thanks to your support.

For people living with dementia, activities like this can have such a positive impact. Doing things together as a group helps people focus on what they can do, rather than their difficulties.

Peak performance

Zoey Crowe-Peters three peaks.jpgOn Sunday 17 May, 44 people took on the Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge, raising £13,000 for our Pennine Care Charity.

They completed the tough 24-mile route in under 12 hours, climbing a total of 1,585 metres across Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough.

The funds raised will support a range of projects to improve staff wellbeing and enhance patient care. This includes plans for music therapy sessions on Ramsbottom ward, improving how we engage with carers, and sensory boxes for people supported by the older adult home intervention team.
